ADOPTION PROCESS
Pets are like humans – each with unique needs & personalities. Our adoption process is designed to find the perfect fit for you, your home and your lifestyle.

STEP ONE: Complete & submit an Adoption Application to fcadiva@sbcglobal.net with a copy of your current, valid ID for review.

STEP TWO: After your application has been reviewed, you must schedule a facility visit to meet our animals & staff. If necessary, applicants may then be asked to undergo a home visit by a FCAHS staff member.

STEP THREE: Once you find your perfect pet & your application has been approved, you're ready to adopt! At the time of adoption, you will be required to pay the $75 adoption fee, and provide a leash & collar for your animal prior to departure.

NOTE: Home inspections are required for all Pit Bull breed adoptions. All applicants are subject to a background check. FCAHS reserves the right to deny any adoption application for any reason.
ADOPTION FEES & POLICIES
OUR ADOPTION FEE IS $75 PER ANIMAL. This fee includes spay/neuter procedures & vaccinations required for adoption.
WHEN ADOPTING FROM FCAHS, YOU MUST PLEDGE TO:

Provide adequate food, water, shelter and care at all times;

Provide veterinary case as necessary;

Obey local, state and federal laws regarding testing & vaccinations;

Agree to spay/neuter your pet and provide proof of sterilization;

Not sell, give away or abandon your pet; and
-
Return your pet to FCAHS if your are unable to care for your pet.
PIT BULL & BULLY BREED ADOPTIONS
To ensure these wonderful dogs are not misused, the following items are required when applying for Pit Bull & "Bully" breed adoptions:

FOSTERING PROCESS
Consider opening your heart & home to an animal in need.

STEP ONE: Complete & submit an Foster Application to fcadive@sbcglobal.net with a copy of your current, valid ID for review.

STEP TWO: After your application has been reviewed, you must schedule a home visit by a FCAHS staff member. This helps us know what types of foster animals will be the best fit for you & your home.

STEP THREE: You're ready to foster! Once you're approved, a foster animal will be placed in your care.

FOSTERING POLICIES
FOSTER HOMES PLEDGE TO:

Provide adequate food, water, shelter and care at all times;

Provide veterinary care as necessary;

Obey local, state and federal testing and vaccination laws; and

Cooperate with follow-up efforts by the FCAHS.
